Der mobile PDA hat einen 3D-Touchscreen, eine 3,2 Megapixel Autofokus-Kamera und 4 GB internem Speicher. Bei der Ankündigung des MDA compact IV wies man auch gleich darauf hin, dass es ab Spätsommer 2008 den MDA Vario IV mit aufschiebbarer Volltastatur geben wird.
